Membership
Being a member of the church is much like being a registered voter in your
community: you have the right to participate in the lay (non-clergy) governing
of the church.
Everyone is invited to worship at All Saints' Episcopal Church;
however, to be an official member you must meet the following criteria:
- baptized in a Christian Church
- attend worship regularly
- contribute financially to the parish through a pledge
90% of the church's income comes from pledging, without it we
couldn't keep the church doors open
- at least 16 years old
Benefits of Being a Member
Members of the church are entitled to:
- Vote on church business:
- at the annual meeting
- at special meetings
- Serve on the Vestry the elected lay (non-clergy) people,
who along with the Rector, form the governing body of the church:
- as a Vestry person 9 members
- as an officer: Warden, Junior Warden, Treasurer, Clerk
Note: The Warden and Junior Warden must also have been
confirmed in the Episcopal Church.
