There's always a lot going on in the parish. Our Photos page let us share
images from those events. Don't miss out on the next great event; take a
look at our on going and up coming events.
All Saints' Church hosted a special spring session of Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry focusing on the first book in the Harry Potter series.
Adults talked about the book and how the author's exploration of the nature of
good and evil informs our own exploration of our faith. For younger wizards,
(pre-k and up) there was Wizarding Camp with fun and crafts and a little
Muggle Theology to boot. The culmination of the session was a viewing of the movie,
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".
This photo
shows the youth choirs from All Saints', Christ Church,
Andover, and Grace Church, Salem joined together on 7 March 2010 for a
lenten choral evensong service.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell in early December 2008. The theme was fariy tales,
with the center piece being the witch's cottage from Hansel and Gretel; it was big
enough to walk through!

For many of the past summers All Saints has had remarkable success in keeping the youth of
the parish enthusiastic about coming to church on Sundays to participate in the Summer Mystery Club.
During this summer's mystery we learned about All Saints' buildings and grounds.
All Saints' Church held a gingerbread house building competition as a fundraiser for
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell in early December 2006. The variety of entries
was spectacular: from meek to magnificent, from traditional to abstract, you'll
want to see them all.
The evening began with hearty hors d’oeuvres and conversation, and was followed by
music and songs performed by talented members of the parish. Proceeds from Cabaret Night
support the diocese-owned Barbara Harris Camp and Conference Center and fund a
scholarship to provide financial help for our parish youth to attend the camp.
To commemorate the period while Prof. Rev. Ray Bronk was our interim Rector, that is while
Rev. Barrington was on sabbatical, we joined together during a fabulous Italian dinner with
live entertainment. Mangiamo bene nell'elogio del Domini — Eat well in praise of the Lord.
Note: We've posted some of Ray's recipes for you
to try.
The 27th annual Winter Weekend event was held at Camp Sentinel in
Tuftonboro, NH. There wasn't as much snow as usual, but we still had fun.
Hiking was the main outdoor activity. Indoor activities included: carpet ball,
board games, puzzles, reading and visiting with one another.
The All Saints Parish Hall was transformed into a cabaret for one night
to raise funds for the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center. It was
a real treat to see the musical talents of our parishoners showcased outside
of their usual choir performances.
For the past three summers All Saints has had remarkable success in
keeping the youth of the parish enthusiastic about coming to church
on Sundays to participate in the Summer Mystery Club. This year's mystery
involved the discovery of many of the symbols present in our worship space.
On Saturday, 2 April 2005, members of ASC and the surrounding
community were treated to an evening of Sierra Leonean cuisine, culture, and fashion.
Things got more serious after that with a presentation on the strife that
war torn Sierra Leone is now experiencing. If you would like to make a donation
towards improving that situation, make a check out to All Saints'
Church, with "Sierra Leone" on the memo line, and drop it into the offertory
collection, or send it to the church office at 10 Billerica Road,
Chelmsford, MA 01824.
St. Peter’s Collegiate School Band Concert
Pictures
Nearly 60 talented students of
St. Peter’s Collegiate
School Concert Band put on a rousing concert on Saturday, 12 Feb. 2005,
in the ASC Sanctuary. The concert drew to a close with a standing ovation from
the appreciative audience. During their visit from Wolverhampton, England,
Students and staff from St. Peter’s Collegiate School
stayed with ASC host families.
The 26th annual Winter Weekend event was held at Camp Sentinel in
Tuftonburo, NH. The lodge, originally a summer home, sits among
650 acres of woodland. The location is extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful.
Some of the outdoor activities that we enjoyed were: sliding, hiking, and cross-country
skiing. Indoor activities included: carpet ball, board games, visiting
with one another, and quite moments reading.
Not only was it the first big blizzard of 2005, it was a milestone birthday for our choir
director, Maggie Marshall. What better way to celebrate than with 26 inches of fresh snow and
a surprise birthday party (pot luck dinner) with 200 of your closest friends?
All Saints' 2004 auction had it all: a silent auction, a Yankee auction, an art auction,
and, oh yea, a regular auction. It was a great time for all who attended. Not only that, it
turned out to be All Saints' biggest special event fund raiser of the year.
During 2003, the Parish Hall renewal effort was a dominant factor in the life of
All Saints' Church. Parish members not only contributed to a capital campaign to
raise enough funds to get the renovation going, but they pitched in and helped with a
number of the demolition and finishing tasks of the project. Additional information
about All Saint's Facility is available.
