Thrift Shop-related posts are here.
The All Saints’ Thrift Shop, established in 1952, is a volunteer run endeavor that provides for the community in a variety of ways:
- We sell gently used, clean clothing at a significantly reduced and affordable price.
- We often donate clothing to individuals and programs as requested.
- We use the funds generated from the sales (minus the consignors due) to support the youth programs at All Saints, the physical buildings of All Saints, and community non-profits in the Chelmsford and Greater Lowell area. In the past few years we have focused our giving on feeding programs, but the giving decisions are made by the board at two annual meetings, and we are open to requests.
- We donate all unsold items in the shop to other clothing resellers- like Savers, Goodwill, etc. Continuing the reuse/recycle path for the clothes.
The shop is open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 3pm from the first week of Sept. to the first week of June. All shifts are volunteer staffed and while many of our volunteers are parishioners, we also have volunteers from the greater community as well. We are always happy to have new volunteers- consider joining us!
We have two types of sales at the Thrift shop- consigned clothes, where a consignor will receive a check for 50% of the sale, and donation clothes, where the shop receives 100% of the sale. The Thrift Shop is a volunteer organization and uses all proceeds for All Saints’ Church and the surrounding community.
The Thrift Shop is a charitable organization dedicated to making gifts to the wider community. All donations and gifts are decided by the Thrift Shop Board- made up of volunteers from the shop. We have two annual meetings,(Dec. and June) to vote on requests for funds. We ask that all requests by made in writing and submitted to the board. Please send requests by email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Thrift Shop or by mail to All Saints’ Thrift Shop, 10 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford MA 01824. Thank you.
