Welcome to the Level 1 Atrium: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd!
If your child is returning to the Atrium, there are many new works and lessons available this year. The makeup of the classroom will be decided based on accommodating the number of children in the best way possible. Both Atriums are sharing many materials and lessons and all of the children will be met on their level.
If your child is new to the Atrium, you are welcome to arrange for an individual orientation session during the next two weeks. Please contact the Children's Christian Education Directors for an appointment.
We have a brochure from last year which has some of the basic info you will need about this curriculum. There have been some changes, though, which you should know about. We do not serve snacks during the atrium time. We will be asking the children to remove their shoes when they enter the atrium: not only is it quieter, but it signals to the children that they are entering a sacred space.
our teaching team this year includes, Linda Cahill, Rohini Pola, Julie Donovan, Barbara Blumeris and Laura Marshall. We need assistants to help greet children and take observation notes. Please let us know if you can help.
When dropping your child off, remember that a quick goodbye is best. If your child needs you, we will come and get you in the church. Let us know if you have any specific concerns and we will do our best to meet them.
