Welcome to the Bridge Atrium: I Am The True Vine

If your child is returning to the Atrium, there are many new works and lessons available this year. The makeup of the classroom will be decided based on accommodating the number of children in the best way possible. Both Atriums are sharing many materials and lessons and all of the children will be met on their level.

If your child is new to the Atrium, they will be spending a few weeks learning about how to work in the Atrium. Ask them about Grace and Courtesy.

We have a brochure from last year which has some of the basic info you will need about this curriculum. The Bridge Atrium is designed to be more challenging for the older students, but also catch them up on lessons they did not get by not being in an atrium last year. There are some other changes in the brochure which you should know about. We do not serve snacks during the atrium time. We will be asking the children to remove their shoes when they enter the atrium: not only is it quieter, but it signals to the children that they are entering a sacred space.

Our teaching team this year includes, Ellen Twitchell, Michelle Thomas, Linda Coles, Melissa Flewelling, Jean Solodiuk, and Bruce Bray. We need assistants to help greet children and take observation notes. Please contact the Children's Christian Education Directors if you can help.

Let us know if you have any specific concerns and we will do our best to meet them.

Thank you,
Michelle Thomas
Head Catechist, Bridge Atrium
