For many of the past summers All Saints has had remarkable success in keeping the youth of the parish enthusiastic about coming to church on Sundays to participate in the Summer Mystery Club. During this summer's mystery we learned about All Saints' buildings and grounds check out the photos. There's a twist to this year's Mystery Club. You can play along too: read on for the details.
The Mystery Club has challenged all kids and adults in the parish to see how well they know their church and how well they can sleuth out interesting objects and places. We created this scavenger hunt so that anyone can do it at any time. Instead of finding and collecting things, participants need to answer simple questions that will prove they found the object or place. Individuals, teams, and families can work together. We will score the results as they come in, but folks can take their time. It's not over until Advent 2007.
Some objects are easy. Some are hard. Some may be nearly impossible! All are in common safe areas (no furnace room or attic craziness). The Mystery Club invites everyone to check it out. Brian Hunter can provide more information for those interested.
Note: Paper copies of the quest can be found in the All Saints' Church Narthex.
Welcome! Dare you begin this quest? Do you seek adventure and secret knowledge? Would you like to view All Saints’ from a new perspective? Can you solve clues? Then join the Hunt!! The All Saints Summer Mystery Club friend and schemer, T. Barry Evington wonders how well everyone knows the buildings, grounds and all that is in and on them. He has left us a test!
Instructions: Simply find everything on this list and answer the questions to prove you’ve been there. Don’t worry if you can’t find them all. Some are very hard… When you’ve done as many as possible, sign your name and give and give it to Brian or Amy Hunter, or submit an online form. They will score them and announce a winner before Advent!
