B-Safe Updates

Thanks to those of you who have volunteered to help cook and serve on 7/7 and 7/9 at the B-Safe Epiphany School site in Dorchester. Many hands make light work, and I am still looking for more cooks and people willing to travel in (I will drive) to serve lunch and read to the kids during their reading time right after lunch. The cooking only option is from 8:30-10:30 on 7/7 and 7/9. The serving option takes us to Dorchester and back by 2p.m. One of the advantages of the Dorchester site is that it is air conditioned! We will be feeding 155 kids and staff this year, and that gives new meaning to the term quantity cooking. As mentioned in previous e-bulletins, we are dedicating our service at B-Safe to Bishop Shaw. If you are unable to participate in the ways listed above, two other options exist: 1) bake chocolate chip cookies (no nuts) to be served on 7/7. These can either be brought to church on 7/6 or dropped off 7/7 before 10:30a.m. Homemade cookies fly off the plates, as you can imagine. 2) support us by helping to underwrite the food costs by making a check payable to All Saints’ and putting B Safe in the memo line. Thanks to all who have donated children’s books and beach towels! Maggie Marshall
