We would love your help for making Lenten Pretzels next Sunday. If you can make some dough, that would be great! You can use the recipe HERE. Please leave dough in the kitchen. We will bake them during the 10am service and serve them at coffee hour.
All classes will meet at their regular times and places: pre-K thru 4th grade at 9:45am, 5th-12th grade after the 10am service until noon. This Sunday we will be celebrating the Baptism of Eliana Kwagala Nakimera and the children are invited to sit up front by the altar steps with their teachers so they can see.
Sunday, January 26th, will be our last day to celebrate with Bill. All Church School classes will be canceled so that our volunteers can all be present. The Nursery will be available and we have arranged for expanded babysitting in the downstairs meeting room for any of our children who need it.
This Sunday is our Dress Rehearsal for the Pageant. Our goal is to do two full run-throughs. And then celebrate with cookies in the Parish Hall. Rehearsal will run until 12:30.
CAST: Please have everyone in costume sitting in the pews as soon after grabbing a snack if you can. If parents can please come and stay- we would really appreciate it. It helps to practice in front of an audience.
CREW: We want to set up the backdrops, and run lights, props and roles for performance. Please start set up as soon after the 10am that we can. We can move all of our props and scenery into the cranberry room after the rehearsal to be ready for Christmas Eve.
|This is the 3rd Rehearsal for the Pageant- get a snack at coffee hour and then find your group below. Pay attention to giving space to the folks setting up for Lessons and Carols and the Altar Guild. Rehearsal ends at noon.|
ACTORS: those with lines plus the Donkey and the Star. Meet your leaders in the COSTUME ROOM. ( the classroom across the hall from the meeting room) After you get your costume meet your leaders in the Narthex to start a run through.
DANCING ANGELS: join us for a short dance practice on the carpeted side of the meeting room. Pick up your costume at the end of practice if you don’t already have it.
STAGE CREW: gather to work in the room with tables by the downstairs kitchen. Goal for this week should be to finalize backdrops/ practice taking them down/ finalizing props/ assigning roles for performance.
If the children and youth who do not want to join in the pageant are looking for something to do, please join the Angel Tree team sorting and wrapping presents.ReplyForward
