Lenten Discussion Series: Considering Our Stories of Death and Resurrection

lent2011

This will be a 4 week discussion series in Lent during which we will consider how God’s grace is “a source of wholeness which makes up for our failings.” The series is inspired by and will draw from the book, Pastrix: The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner and Saint, by Nadia Bolz- Weber. You do not need to read the book to join in, but we will be using it to guide our conversations. Note: The book has adult themes and language.

When: Wednesday nights: March 12, 19, 26, and April 2. We will gather in the Cranberry Room for light refreshments at 7pm. The discussions will start at 7:15 and end by 8:30.

We invite you to join us for all four sessions, but if you can’t come every week,  please feel welcome to attend when you can.

If you would like to read (and listen to) Bolz-Weber’s sermons, they can be found on her blog here. Hint: If you want to listen to the audio and read along, open the audio link in a new tab or window so that it does not replace the text.

At this past Wednesday’s Lenten Discussion (3/26) we watched the following short video about Nadia’s thoughts on Faith in Community. See here.

Peace!
