Many thanks to all who have volunteered beds to date. I am inching closer to my total needed, and have roughly 57 of 77 beds. I am working on developing the schedule, to show you all how manageable and fun this British invasion will be!
Calling all pie makers, crust rollers, and apple peelers!! If you can peel apples, mix the filling and/or make pie crusts, or if you have ever wanted to learn how, please join us in the Parish Hall on Saturday, November 7th for our annual pie-baking workshop for what has become a yearly tradition of making the best homemade apple and blueberry pies around, just in time for folks to buy for the holidays!!
Even if you can only stop in for an hour or two of peeling or mixing, do come and join in the fun. We will start at 8:30am and go until we are finished. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided for breakfast, and there will be a light lunch served around noon.
Donations of fresh apples, frozen blueberries, sugar or flour (or funds to help purchase supplies) are also welcomed. If there are any volunteers willing to make a large batch of soup for lunch, it would truly be appreciated. This year any pies that have not sold by Thanksgiving weekend will be sold at the Christmas Fair to raise additional funds. If you have any questions and/or you can help with donations, please contact Liz Landers (use the Contact Us form and select Pie Baking Workshop from the “To be contacted” menu). Hope to see you there!!
Fall Planting this Sunday, October 11th!
All Lower Church School classes will be participating in our Fall Planting event this Sunday, October 11. This will be a morning full of gardening fun for our students!
Parents, please drop your children off in their regular Sunday morning classroom. After all children have arrived, the teachers will bring them to the Parish Hall where we will break into small groups for planting. Please send your child with a hand trowel if possible, and please bring your child dressed for digging in the dirt!
We would greatly appreciate donations of daffodil bulbs! There is a basket in the Narthex to collect daffodil donations or you can drop them off directly in the Parish Hall Sunday morning. Thank you for your help!
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact Debbie Collins.
The Wolverhampton Visit FAQs page has been updated with dates, background and opportunities to help make the February visit another great success. And remember that there is a link to the FAQ page at the end of the sidebar which will stick around during the remaining months before arrival day (February 12).
The Church School classes will be participating in Lenten Pretzel Making this Sunday, February 22nd, at 9:45 in the Parish Hall. We cannot wait for everyone to try our delicious pretzels during coffee hour! If you would like to help, we would love for you to make some pretzel dough for us! You can use any recipe you’d like, but here’s a fairly simple one to try. Thanks so much for your help!
