Upper School Habitat Service Project

On Saturday, June 2, the Upper church School will be doing a Mission project with Habitat for Humanity.  We will be helping to build a pocket park and playground in the Acre neighborhood of Lowell.  The kids will be cleaning up the site and doing light construction, so they should come in work clothes and bring work gloves if they have them.

We will meet at the All Saints parking lot at 8:20 am and the chaperones will drive the kids to the site.  The plan is to work from 9am til noon and then we’ll provide a pizza lunch at the site.  We’ll drive everyone back to All Saints and parents can pick up their kids at 1:00 pm.

I’ve attached a brochure from Habitat describing the park project.  I’ve also attached two forms: an All Saints Church School permission slip, and a habitat Waiver.  Please reply to this email or call me as soon as you know whether your child can go or not.  (Note that there is no fee for this outing.)  I’d like to hear from you in either case, so I know for sure who to expect.  If your child is going, please get the completed forms back to me by Sunday, May 27.  You can have your child return them to me during Sunday School, leave them in the church office, or scan the signed forms in and email them to me.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dave Kuzara
